Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Erick Buenrostro is an intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, currently completing his master's degree in this area. Her therapeutic approach is primarily based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT/CBT), integrating a client-centered model to build a warm, collaborative and trust-based therapeutic relationship.
She has training in working with adults and adolescents, as well as in diversity and arts-based therapeutic techniques. Throughout his professional experience, he has worked directly with diverse populations serving as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), substitute teacher, and coordinator of graduate programs at the University of North Texas (UNT).
Erick specializes in supporting people who face various mental health disorders and life challenges, helping them understand their emotions, modify unhelpful thought patterns, and develop behaviors aligned with their goals.
Of Mexican origin and a bilingual therapist in Spanish and English, he maintains a strong commitment to the Hispanic community, to which he seeks to provide a safe, empathetic and judgment-free space to promote well-being and personal growth.
