My aunts have been mothers, friends and confidants my entire life. There is no replacement for the love my own mother gave me, but over time I have realized that not everyone has had the same experience.
I have also realized that I myself have been that woman who has been maternal in many lives. As a teacher/instructor, there have been many students and as a therapist there have been many clients that as we live our daily lives and work through daily obstacles these people (like all of us) have daily struggles that have required loving conversation, which ultimately results in that “mother talk.”

With that in mind think about the voids we all fill within each other's lives and don't take it for granted when you think no one listened to your advice – someone is always breathing everything.
